AMMO Full Force Energy Drink Review

Friday, February 19th, 2010

AMMO Full Force Energy Drink Review – A shortcut to an action-packed day, just 25 calories. This citrus flavor has the most bite of the bunch.

AMMO gets credit for brilliance in the Power department. While some energy drinks have more caffeine, few pack so much into a 1 fluid OZ bottle. They also came up with a caffeine rationing system. A scale on the side of the bottle that lets you see how many milligrams of caffeine you’ve consumed, up to the full 171 mg. It works too, whether you ration it or shoot it all at once. A bottle of AMMO woke me effectively today.

The Citrus Ice has a bite to it, but not the obnoxious energy drink formula taste. It’s a little more like a bit of lemon and lime juice mixed. I recommend mixing this one, with water or any creative liquid option. For me, it wasn’t as deliciously enjoyable as a sugar-filled Monster – naturally. It’s definitely still easy to drink and the couple testers of this flavor are fans.

Each of the drinks are labeled with “Low Carb”, which is fair. 7g sugar, 25 calories. This is far more diet-friendly and healthy than a Rock Star or Full Throttle, and it delivers about the same caffeine kick.

Unlike 5 Hour Energy & clones, AMMO works well as a mixer – even stirring it into water creates a decent drink. Their marketing angle is that this was developed originally for the US military. I’ll buy that. The testers reported no jitters and no crash, as the box claims. Of all the drinks I’ve tried, AMMO is the one I’d most like to bring on a backpacking trip, for all the reasons above. I’ll be ready to rock and roll. Any flavor will do.

Just do it. The power surge from X344 carries you for 12 hours. We’ve yet to try another energy drink that can compare.

The “X344″ refers to the 344 mg of caffeine that this drink packs. A helpful guide right on the can contrasts the power ingredients to those in Red Bull, Monster, and Rockstar, so you can be sure you’re getting the biggest bang for your buck. They also give a warning – “Do not consume more than two servings per sitting” – and there are two servings per can.

The flavor takes some getting used to, but it’s worth it. The more you drink it, the easier it goes down.

We would rate the taste at only 1.5 of 5 stars – but really, are you drinking for the taste?

Tab Energy Drink Review

Thursday, January 8th, 2009

Energy Drink Review of Tab: Light, pink-colored, sweet & fun drink from Coca-Cola.

Tab Energy provides a cruise-control kind of energy for about five hours.

There is something nostalgic in that first sip: a candy flavor similar to strawberry or watermelon pixie stix, and very fizzy.

If you liked the movie 13 Going On 30, you’ll probably like this drink. The soda is colored barely pink. It is fun and festive – perfect for a New Year’s party – celebrate the old, ring in the new.

The sleek design and crimson color of the can and the fact that it contains only 5 calories probably makes Tab Energy most appealing to women. When I’ve only had 4 hours of sleep, this drink helps me get through my day.
